The NBA playoffs start in a few hours. The Cleveland Cavs take on the Toronto Raptors to open the playoffs. I have predicted every series, let's take a look!
East Round 1:
Cavs over Raptors 4-1.
The Cavs were the best team in the east the previous year and they are one of the top teams again this year. Lead by Mitchell and Mobley, I think the Cavs can over power the Raptors in game 5.
Series Order:
CLE, CLE, TOR, CLE, CLE
Knicks over Hawks 4-0.
Not much to this series. I think the Knicks are a much better team than the Hawks.
Series Order:
NY, NY, NY, NY
Celtics over 76ers 4-1.
Like the Knicks series, I think the Celtics are an all around better team than the 76ers. I think the 76ers can pull out game 4 to avoid the sweep. To no avail as the Celtics gentleman sweep the 76ers from the playoffs.
Series Order:
BOS, BOS, BOS, PHI, BOS
Pistons over Magic 4-0.
Just 2 years ago the Pistons had the worst record in the NBA. And just 2 short years later they are the regular season East champs, and the 3rd best team in the NBA. The turn around was quick and aggressive. Easy series here.
Series Order:
DET, DET, DET, DET
West Round 1:
Timberwolves over Nuggets 4-3.
This will be one of the best 1st round series, if not the best. Biasedly, the Wolves are one of my favorite teams to watch. Ant is one of the most fun players to watch in the entire league. Wolves steal game 7 on the road to send Jokic back to Serbia to race horses.
Series Order:
DEN, MIN, MIN, DEN, DEN, MIN, MIN
Lakers over Rockets 4-3.
This will be the series the challenges the Wolves series for the best in round 1. The Lakers will be with out their top scorer, Luka. The Rockets have KD listed as a game time decision, ESPN has him ruled out. We will see tonight if he laces up his shoes and hit the floor. Regardless, I think LeBron can carry the Lakers to a series win in game 7 at home.
Series Order:
LAL, LAL, HOU, HOU, LAL, HOU, LAL
Thunder over Suns 4-0.
Thunder are the best team in the league. Enough said.
Series Order:
OKC, OKC, OKC, OKC
Spurs over Trail Blazers 4-1.
This will be the West version of the Celtics series. Gentleman sweep with the Blazers avoiding the sweep in game 4.
Series Order:
SAS, SAS, SAS, POR, SAS
East Round 2:
Cavs over Pistons 4-3.
This will be the only series in the 2nd round to go to 7 games. I think the Pistons are a better team than the Cavs all things considered. But I think the veteran lead Cavs can over power the youthful Pistons in 7 games.
Series Order:
DET, DET, CLE, CLE, DET, CLE, CLE
Celtics over Knicks 4-2.
The Celtics may be the best team in the East skill wise, and they have the best coach in the league in my opinion. Both of those facts lead them past the Knicks in 6 games.
Series Order:
BOS, BOS, NY, NY, BOS, BOS
West Round 2:
Thunder over Lakers 4-1.
The magic run for the injury riddled Lakers ends when the Thunder beat them in 5. This could very well be a sweep but I will give the Lakers one win here. No "Lakers in 5" here for Shannon Sharpe.
Series Order:
OKC, OKC, LAL, OKC, OKC
Timberwolves over Spurs 4-2.
This may be a bias pick truthfully. The Spurs are a very solid team, obviously. I am not ready to send Ant home just yet!
Series Order:
SAS, MIN, MIN, MIN, SAS, MIN
Eastern Conference Finals:
Cavs over Celtics 4-3.
The Cavs go 7 games again, beating Boston on the road to head to their first Finals in 10 years.
Series Order:
BOS, BOS, CLE, CLE, BOS, CLE, CLE
Western Conference Finals:
Thunder over Timberwolves 4-1.
No amount of bias can get me to pick the Wolves over the Thunder in this series. After upsetting the Nuggets then the Spurs, the slipper falls off Ant and they are sent home by SGA.

OKC, OKC, MIN, OKC, OKC
NBA Finals:
Cavs over Thunder 4-3.
Yet another series that goes 7 for the Cavs. This will be a battle of a series. The Thunder are the best team in the league, but the Cavs land a few punches that lead them to their firs championship since the 3-1 comeback against the Warriors.
