I’ve heard Joe Burrow is going to look to leave Cincinnati in the coming years. What are yyour thoughts about this and do you think it has anything to do with the other team in the state gaining momentum to become an NFL powerhouse?

Owen, I appreciate your question!

I have also heard the chatter about Joe Burrow potentially wanting to leave Cincinnati in the near future. I would be lying if I said the rumors did not scare me. I would say if he is to leave Cincinnati he would land in Sean McVay's lap. If this happens we may as well just give the Rams the Super Bowl before the season starts. Time and time again the Rams have proven they will do what it takes to build a winning culture and a winning roster. They are not afraid to trade away draft picks to acquire proven players that help them win in the present. They let other teams develop these guys out of college and then send a draft pick to add a necessary talent to an already successful team. That is something the Rams consistently do that makes me wish the Bengals front office would take that approach. Like mentioned in the first article, I think the Bengals should move pick 10 and a future 2nd or 3rd for Crosby. Fill the need on defense with a proven player.

To address the outlandish claim that the Browns could potentially become the best team in the state... simply put, no. The Browns might be a worse ran organization than the Bengals and that is not said lightly. The Browns have 3 QB's on their roster and I'm not sure any of them could lead the team in its current state to win 7 or more games. I would be shocked, injuries aside, if the Bengals did not win at least 9 games a season every year Burrow is taking the snaps. I can't say I see anyone on the Browns leading the team to 7 wins let alone 9 or more. An interesting fact that shouldn't be over looked in this discussion, the Titans have won the AFC North more recently than the Cleveland Browns have. The Titans have not been in the AFC north for over 20 years.

Well sir, that is a very disappointing fact but luckily for me it is coming from a Bengals fan. The Bengals are similar to the Browns in the fact that they have yet to win a Super Bowl and I would say that’s the real end goal. We can sit here and talk crap about last time we won the division but I’d rather be sitting here arguing about the last time we won the Super Bowl. In reality both teams aren’t and haven’t been great. Luckily for Browns fans we have an owner who isn’t afraid to spend money so we’re bound to the hit the jackpot eventually.
